Mr. Robert C. Williams, age 76, of East Dublin died Friday, October 5, 2012.
Mr. Williams was born in Toombs County and was preceded in death by his father, Lewie C. Williams, wife, Ethel Collins Williams, and son, Dale Williams.
He grew up in Jacksonville, Fla. where he worked as a tugboat crewman. He later moved to Georgia where he met his wife of 52 years, and became an avid truck driver for over 40 years. He was a member of Tarrytown Baptist Church. He will be remembered by his family as a loving father, family man, and a friend to all who knew him.
Services will be held in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 11 a.m.Tuesday, October 9, with the Rev. Donnie Baker officiating.
Burial will be in Tarrytown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m.
