    Born to Barney E. Gillen (father) and Hazel Gillen/Grey (mother). He retired from the U.S. Airforce after 20 years of service. He then worked for an additional 20 years for the state of Florida. He was an avid traveler, passionate of history and education. He was a graduate of the University of Florida. He was a committed member of Southside Baptist Church, Florida, for many years. He had a long and loving marriage of 59 years.

    He is preceded in death by his parents Barney E. Gillen and Hazel Gillen/Grey; Wife Noilene (Hord) Gillen (2008); Daughter Diana Lassiter (2011); Granddaughter Carolyn Dawn Loflin (2001).

    Survived by daughter S. Lynne Robinson; Grandkids Alex, Amber, and Darlene; Great grandchildren Chase, Tyler, Hunter, Kelsey, and Hayden.

    A memorial service will be held at Southside Baptist Church on Saturday, March 18th from 11am-12; 407-859-5340.

    A private service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home; 407-420-6006.
