    JESUP - Evalyn Caison Eve, 89, of Jesup, Ga., died Monday July 30, 2007 at her residence after an extended illness.
    The Liberty Co. Ga., native had lived in Wayne Co. Ga., since 1958 on the banks of the Altamaha River.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, National Magna Charta Society Dames Ga. Division, National Society Daughters of the American Colonists, Saint John Parish Chapter in Hinesville, Ga., and was instrumental in the Midway Museum & Ga. Historical Markers.
    She was a donor of wetland property, establishing Eve Park on Colonels Island, Liberty Co. Ga., and was Owner of Suligres Land later known as Half Moon.

    She was a life master in Bridge, graduated from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, GA, & was an active member of various organizations.

    She was predeceased by her husband: J. Hammond Eve, Jr., and grandson: Wade Walker Eve.
    Survivors are two sons and daughter-in-law: J. Hammond and Sandra Eve, III of New Orleans, LA., Tomas McDowell Eve of Savannah, Ga., a daughter and son-in-law: Evelyn and Paul Beck of Augusta, Ga., four grandchildren: Jacob H. Eve, James Hammond Eve, IV., Sarah Hammond Eve, and Dancy St. Claire Eve, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

    Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday from the funeral home prior to graveside services.

    Graveside Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon Friday from Flemington Cemetery in Liberty Co. Ga., with Dr. Bill Platt officiating.
