Born in Arabi, Georgia, he moved to Lady Lake from Fruitland Park in 1946. He was the Lady Lake town clerk for 26 years, a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Lady Lake and sold Knapp Shoes in Lake County for over 50 years. Survivors include three daughters, Elsie M. Diamond and Lena J. Possee, both of Lady Lake, Margaret L. Mills of Lake Panasoffkee; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

    Funeral Notice - Graveside services for Edker Lee Sandefur will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday (March 13, 1997) at the Lady Lake Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Manes officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday (March 12, 1997) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake."

    MR. SANDEFUR, 124 Rosemary Ave., Lady Lake, died Tuesday, March 11. He served as the town clerk for Lady Lake for 26 years. He also sold Knapp Shoes in Lake County for more than 50 years. Born in Arabi, Ga., he moved to Lady Lake from Fruitland Park in 1946. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Lady Lake. Survivors: daughters, Elsie M. Diamond, Lena J. Possee, both of Lady Lake, Margaret L. Mills, Lake Panasoffkee; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a avid gardener and co-owner of an antique shop. Survivors include her husband James S., sons Timothy L. of Kapolei, Hawaii, and James S. Jr. of Baltimore; daughter Mary F. Crenshaw of Douglasville, Georgia; sisters, Lena J. Possee and Elsie M. Diamond, both of Lady Lake; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter.

    Funeral services for Margaret L. Mills will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, April 17, 2000 at Beyers Funeral Chapel, Lady Lake with the Rev. Bill Stennet and the Rev. Don Stanley officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3PM to 5PM. Interment will be at Lady Lake Cemetery."
