Louise Newton Bachelor
MOULTRIE Louise Newton Bachelor, 91, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Cabaniss officiating assisted by the Rev. Jimmy Albritton. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery with Randy Thompson, Brett Smith, Chris Barry, Charles Horne, Glen Sharpe and Billy Williams serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be James O'Kelley and Ed Best.
Born Dec. 10, 1914, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late James Turner Sharpe and Martha Jane Miller Sharpe. She was a retired public school teacher and taught at Riverside and Vereen elementary schools during her lifetime. She was also a member of Kingwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur A. Newton and Bonnie "Barney" Bachelor; and a brother, Grover Turner Sharpe.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice Barry and husband Robert of Moultrie; grandchildren, Sonja Thompson and husband Randy, Melinda Smith and husband Brett, and Chris Barry and wife Beth; and great-grandchildren, Morgan Barry, Alex Barry and Blake Thompson.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home.
