CAMDEN - Graveside services for Neil William "Bill" Wilkes Sr., 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Hammond will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 tonight at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Hospital Foundation to Advance Health Care in Kershaw County, PO Box 7003, Camden, SC 29020.
Mr. Wilkes died Wednesday, March 29, 2000. Born in Laurinburg, N.C., he was the son of the late Neil Archie and Pearl Bishop Wilkes and was the husband of the late Pauline Stokes Wilkes.
Surviving are his son, Neil W. "Bill" Wilkes Jr. of Camden; daughter, Patricia O'Neil Brewer of Lugoff; grandchildren, Deedee Brewer, Shannon T. Wilkes, William Clay Wilkes; great-grandchildren, Oren D. Wilkes; sisters, Marguerite Kalleghan of Fayetteville, N.C., Nancy Bright of Dearborne, Mich.; brother, James A. Wilkes of Fayetteville. He was predeceased by a brother, John Archie Wilkes.

CAMDEN, S.C. -- Neil W. Wilkes Sr., 81, of Camden, formerly of Laurinburg, N.C., died Wednesday.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Quaker Cemetery by the Rev. Mike Hammonds. Arrangements are being handled by Kornegay Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilkes is survived by a son, Neil W. “Bill” Wilkes Jr. of Camden; a daughter, Patricia O. Brewer of Lugoff; two sisters, Marguerite Kalleghan of Fayetteville, N.C., and Nancy Bright of Dearborn, Mich.; a brother, James A. Wilkes of Fayetteville; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
