      John A. Wilkes, Jr. - 92
      Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the Langdale Hospice House. He was born on October 31, 1924 in Naylor, GA to the late John & Ruth (Tyler) Wilkes. Mr. Wilkes served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of Pleasant Way Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wilkes and a daughter, Catherine Geddings.
      Survivors include his
      Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Paulette & Jeffrey Eberhard of Mountain Rest, SC,
      Pamela & Charles Saul of Okeechobee, FL;
      Grandchildren, Donna Hedgepath, John Eberhard, Jason Geddings;
      Great Grandchildren, Virginia Chappell, Amanda Hedgepath, John Eberhard Jr., and Justin Eberhard.

      Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Pleasant Way Baptist Church in Valdosta with burial to follow in the church cemetery. No formal visitation will be held. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com. The Wilkes family is being cared for by the compassionate and caring staff of Music Funeral Services in Lakeland, GA.
