  	Patricia “Trish” Renae Caison, age 55, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care. Trish was born on September 10, 1968, in Wilmington, NC, to her devoted parents, Chancy Rastus Caison and Patricia Evelyn Lewis Caison. Trish’s heart was a sanctuary for all creatures, great and small. Her boundless compassion led her to rescue and care for countless animals throughout her life. She nurtured wild creatures, providing them sustenance and a safe haven. Trish found solace and joy in the presence of her furry companions, creating a haven of love and warmth. She is survived by her loving mother, Patricia Evelyn Caison, her cherished sister, Sherrie Pope (Gene), and her dear brother, Curtis Caison (Teresa). Trish leaves behind three adoring nephews, one beloved niece, four great-nephews, and two treasured great-nieces, all of whom will carry her memory forward with love. Trish’s circle of lifelong friends, Mrs. Baker, Bonita, and Allyson were a source of immeasurable support and companionship. She is also survived by her Aunt Vivian, Uncle Kenny, and her cousin Bobby, who shared in her joys and stood by her side through life’s journey. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to relatives and friends for the unwavering love and support they showered upon Trish during her lifetime. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Herrings Chapel United Methodist Church, 1697 Herrings Chapel Rd, Burgaw, NC 28425. Following the service, interment will take place at the church cemetery. Reverend William Pearsall will officiate. Trish’s legacy of compassion, kindness, and love for all creatures will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
