Deed mentions Dave Chesnutt, 'a little branch,' and Reedy Branch. Land was part of a tract of 540 acres granted to Alexander Chesnutt by patent dated 30 March 1756."

    !Descendants: According to E. L. (Boe) Williams, a Caison genealogist, William Caison had several sons: John, who moved to Brunswick Co; Hillery, who remained in Sampson Co; and Cannon who married Charity Hollingsworth and died in the Revolutionary War. !Spouse: Boe Williams suggests the William Caison may have married twice, since his family was closely connected to the Chesnutt family.
