Died:
Doyce D. Holcombe, age 78, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia. The Polk County native had lived in Dawsonville, Georgia many years moving to Roswell seven years ago. He was retired from K.C.’s Medical Home Care and was an Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Holcombe is preceded in death by parents, Dewey and Ruby C. Holcombe; daughter, Donna Kaye Holcombe; sisters, Ruth Osborne, Nellie Jo Hungerman and Ann Nations and a granddaughter, Amanda Holcombe.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years. Doris R. Holcomb, Reidsville, Georgia; Daughters, Reba Joyce Thomas of Dawsonville, Judy Renee Cameron of McDonough, GA; Sons, Gregory Alan Holcombe of College Park, GA, Michael Doyce Holcombe of Cumming, GA, Dennis Morgan Holcombe of Griffin, GA; Brother, Charles W. Holcombe of Cedartown, GA; Sister, Karen Burchett of Buchanan, GA; Grandchildren, Kevin Matthew Leath, Melissa Kaye Adams, Tasha Nicole Holcombe, Christina Marie Leath, and Leanna Marie Holcombe; Two great-grandchildren, Tatum Nicole Leath and Mason B. Leath; Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00pm Tuesday, March 20, 2012 with the services to follow at 2:00pm from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend Walter Jarrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel is serving the Holcombe family.
