    Ken Drupiewski, 90, died Thursday (Sept. 4, 2014) at his home in Winter Park, Fla., surrounded by his family.

    He was born April 1, 1923 in Sacramento, Calif., and was a veteran of World War II.

    He was stationed at the U.S. Army Air Base in Waycross where he met and married Montine Cason. He remained in Waycross for a number of years, owning and operating a business and taking an increasingly active role in the Boy Scouts of America.

    He then moved with his growing family to Douglas to assume the official status with the Boy Scouts as their field scout executive for the area.

    A few years later he was promoted to Chief Scout Executive in Asheville, N.C.

    He transferred to Orlando, Fla. in 1969 to become the Scout Executive of the Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America where he later retired after 38 years of service.

    He was an active member of Aloma United Methodist Church where he was a faithful Sunday School teacher and leader of many ministries, including serving as finance chairman.

    He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Montine Cason Drupiewski, of Waycross; five children, Kenneth Drupiewski (Lieu), of Winter Park, Fla., Rose Porterfield (Jim), of Atlanta, Donna Sherrill (Bob), of Leesburg, Fla., Rebecca Lorenzana (Alex), of Winter Park, Fla., and Joe Drupiewski (Pepper), of Pueblo, Colo.; his brother, Jerome Drupiewski, of Pueblo, Colo.; his sister-in-law, Carol Jean Cason (George) Farr; and nephews, Remley Farr, George Farr Jr. and Harbin Farr, all of Waycross; and numerous nieces and other nephews.

    Acelebration of life service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Aloma Methodist Church.

    In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Boy Scouts of America or the Billy Graham Association.

    Fredda Montine Cason Drupiewski, 93, died Monday (Nov. 3, 2014) at her home in Winter Park, Fla., following an extended illness.

    She was born June 24, 1921, daughter of the late Joe and Fredda Harbin Cason. She was reared in Waycross.

    Following her graduation from Georgia Teachers College (now Georgia Southern University) in Statesboro, she taught third grade for a number of years at the old Isabella Street School in Waycross. She was married to the late Kenn Drupiewski, Boy Scout executive. He preceded her in death Sept. 4, 2014. They had celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this year.

    In addition to her 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, her survivors include her five children, Randy (Lieu) Drupiewski, of Winter Park, Fla., Rose (Jim) Porterfield, of Atlanta, Donna (Bob) Sherrill, of Leesburg, Fla., Rebecca (Alex) Lorenzana, of Winter Park, Fla., and Joe (Pepper) Drupiewski, of Carrollton; her sister, Carol Jean Cason (George) Farr, of Waycross; her brother, Richard (Irene) Cason, of Lutz, Fla.; her sister-in-law, Hazel (Joe Jr.) Cason, of Waycross.

    A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday (Nov. 9, 2014) at Aloma United Methodist Church, of Winter Park, Fla.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joe and Fredda Cason Scholarship Fund with the James Dye Foundation at South Georgia State College in Waycross.

    Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Kenneth Martin Drupiewski.

    Survived by their children, Kenneth Drupiewski (Lieu) Winter Park,FL, Rose Porterfield (Jim), Atlanta, GA, Donna Sherrill (Bob), Leesburg, FL, Rebecca Lorenzana (Alex), Winter Park, FL, Joe Drupiewski (Pepper), Carrollton, GA. 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Sister, Carol Jean Farr (George), Waycross GA, brother, Richard Cason (Irene), Lutz Fl. and numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was a faithful wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother, creative caring teacher, loyal friend and servant of God. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, November 9,2014 at Aloma United Methodist Church, Winter Park with fellowship to follow.

    In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Joe and Fredda Cason Scholarship Fund for South Georgia State College, Waycross,Georgia or the Florida Methodist Children's Home.
